Busy month of June
Babylon had a very busy month in June. Six members of the team spent two weeks in Gap shooting for a big production film company, an adventure action film called “Largo Winch 2” performing arial stunts such as fighting in freefall.
David Nimmo did more than 40 jumps with a hidden parachute underneath his airline pilot uniform which he could split open in order to open his main. Fred Fugen took a specially designed malfunction setup with suspention lines wrapped around his leg and some parachute fabric streaming above him. Thanks to the great quality of the stunt equipment designed by Colin Thompson and Christian Fischbacher. A total of about 400 jumps where done. Kuri, Tom and Steff where filming various takes shooting with everything from 35mm to 100mm zoom using the Canon D5 Mark 2 SLR Photo camera giving a whole range of new opportunities to film those extreme stunts. We believe this motion picture will be a great opportunity for skydiving to become a "movie star". The film will be at the cinema February 2011.

Then the Vector festival started where the madness continued. Vincent Reffet updated the Bomb with a cypres unit so the altitude for its round rescue shoot was very low making the spotting more precise. All the jumps were made at a minimum of 14 000ft and this time the event was an intense 5 days of solid jumping, free load organising and parties every night at different places. The highlight of the event was the film contest.
